The ACHCCS Bursary Committee has selected the applicants for the five $1,000.00 Bursary Awards that was approved by the ACHCCS Board of Directors meeting in June 2023.
The Coalition office received and processed over 300 applications that were then sent to the Bursary Committee for review. There was 1 applicant chosen from each of the Atlantic Provinces and the 5th one was selected from the overall list of applicants. The successful applicants and the name of the Union their parent is a member of are listed below.
- NS – Rylan Carey – IUOE Local 727
- NB – Natalie London – NB Union
- PEI - Kes Sabine - IUOE Local 942
- NL – Nicholas Parsons – IBEW Local 1615
- NL – Brooklyn – UA Local 740
Over the last couple of weeks, I had received emails from the university or college confirming that the successful applicants attended their Sept 2023 semester and then I sent a letter with the cheque on behalf of the ACHCCS Board of Directors congratulating each applicant.
